Our Story
Her Story
I had just moved into Ole and didn't so much know the rules yet. Good old Nicole and I were ready to have some bloody mary's and hang out by the pool. Little did we know no coolers or outside drinks were allowed. We walked all the way up to the gate only to go right back and put away our cooler. We finally made it out to the pool and I asked the bartender if the Packers were winning. Next thing you know there were two drinks in front of us from two "Wisconsin" guys at the bar. What do you do when you're from Wisconsin...We sent back two shots. Later we ended up going inside and meeting Bryan and Brian. We played some pool and went on our ways.
A couple months later I saw Bryan again when I was leaving the pool but it wasn't until Taste of Collier, May 1, 2011 when I saw him again and knew this time we had to connect. With some help from my Jenintine and a little encouragement from Brian the rest is history! 4 years later, Bryan surprised me with the most perfect and thoughtful proposal. A memory I will never forget!
His Story
I met Jenny for the first time in October of 2010. I was at the Ole Pub in the Lely Resort community I lived in, watching a Packers game with my friend Brian. I had one eye on the game and one eye on these two girls unloading there cooler and drinks from their car to bring to the pool. ( Which Jenny stated is against policy ) The server came to me knowing I am a Packers fan, and stated one of the girls outside is a Packers fan and is from WI. So I thought I would give her a “WI Test” and send them a beer. Well, it wasn’t 10 minutes later and the server came back saying she wants to buy you WI guys a shot ! I knew right then I had my hands full ! As our “season” gets busy during the winter, I did not formally get together again with Jenny till May 1st 2011. We were at a function downtown on a very hot day, I think it was perfect timing, others think it was the heat and the help of Jenny’s Prickly Pear Martinis. Whatever the case, it was the start of a wonderful relationship between two WI people who moved to FL for work, and ended up with each other. Four years later we were engaged on May 1st 2015, and when we wake up on our first day as a married couple……. It will be May 1st !
